Productivity ≠ Time is a university group project in two halves: a digital and physical campaign. Centred around increasing productivity in London architects, the project challenges conceptions of time, output and downtime to revolutionise the nature of work.
Our campaign is based on the premise that productivity does not equal time. As we know, productivity is affected by many factors, such as personal well-being and environment, which is why using the 9-5 or the 40+ hour week as a measure for productive output is an outdated paradigm l. The future of work is less about the task at hand, and more about the individual. Our campaign focuses on fostering a working environment that is people-focused and people-driven, where the worker’s well-being and local connectivity is always at the forefront. We propose a reassessment of the typical working day, one that facilitates time away from the desk or computer screen, and ultimately will lead to a healthier, happier and consequently more productive workforce.
